Timbaland and Mosley Music Group signee, V. Bozeman release the music video to their soulful duet, Smile. Bozeman, who stars in Fox’s hit series Empire, shines on the track next to Timbaland who is preparing to drop his next project, Opera Noir, featuring Smile as the lead single. Fox’s hit series, Empire, will air its second episode of season 2, “Without a Country,” Sept. 30th. In the meantime, Empire’s cast and guest stars have been creating soundtracks, featuring songs that appear in the week’s episode via iTunes. This week’s episode highlights V. V. Bozeman and ZZ Ward connect on the Smule app to bring fans a duet version of Ward’s song, Love 3x. The video shows the two singers recording and harmonizing from their cellphones front facing camera. Chet Faker surprised fans with new music late yesterday when he released “Killswitch”, a track that appears on the Japanese edition of his recent Built on Glass album, via Soundcloud. The song drops ahead of Faker’s Built On Live Tour in Australia, beginning this October. It will be a final celebration of his multi-platinum, chart-topping album “Built on Glass”. Izzy told The FADER over email that “Give Me Love” is “about always being on the road trying to escape loneliness, finding a new home, a new lover whilst missing a mother.” The video fits perfectly, mixing uplifting shots of home, complete with a summer BBQ, with clips of Izzy skating alone down an empty back road.
