Coming off a series of singles earlier this year Kossisko releases his debut EP, entitled Red White N Cruel, worldwide on November 13th.
“With this project I wanted it to be a very honest introspective piece of work, so it explores both sides of the spectrum. Sometimes we are victims of cruelty and sometimes we deal it. I’ve been working on this project for over a year, experimenting and finding my sound and all that shit was a huge part of it. I spent a lot of time in isolation discovering and studying music and watching a lot films. I think everyone around me sort of knew i had to go through that process to find where i was going next and once i found the place i was looking for it just started pouring out of me.” -Kossisko

A few years back Kossisko was known as 100s. They were signed to Fools Gold. They sounded like the colour purple. They were hella funky. Now though he’s broken free into territory that feels much more of his own; the sort of thing he wanted to make all along. His releases in 2015 as Kossisko – “Own Me” and “Jealousy” – represent an artist that, in our tracks of the month piece, we said was “bursting with ideas, yet has the aesthetic and know-how to tie everything together into a unique project”. Today we’re premiering the latest track from Kossisko called “Across the Room”. Here’s what he had to say about it.
“”Across The Room” is about letting go, living in the moment, not being afraid of giving yourself to another person, and not living in fear because of past experiences. When I wrote this it marked the beginning of me finding what my vision was for my next project, so I decided it should be the first song to kinda commemorate that.”

“South London’s Izzy Bizu has become our pop-soul dream girl overnight.” Wonderland Magazine
21 years old, Izzy Bizu is a pop force to be reckoned with. Not quite at Bieber levels of adolescent fame yet, she’s well on the way. Staccato sunshine vocals with falsetto trills, Izzy’s feelgood factor is off the charts on her new track, “White Tiger”. We’ve been promised an album in early 2016, but until then you can replay her cutely named Coolbeanz EP from 2013 that won her recognition from 1Xtra as well as BBC Radio 1.
After applying herself to the arts academically at boarding school and later theatre school Izzy flirted with the possibility of finding fame in Soundgirl, a group she started with friends but it was after she jumped onto an open mic she found herself as a solo performer. Believe it or not, at the ILuvLive musical showcase, that turned out to be run by her long lost cousin, it sounds like one of those he-said, she-said stories, but it’s so unbelievably lucky, it could only be true.
Since then she’s appeared on Jools Holland’s show, sold out two of her own headline shows and played with Mark Ronson at the Amy Winehouse Foundation Event. We’re already hooked on the sugar-sweet sound of “White Tiger” after a solid day of clicking the repeat button so we interrupted Izzy’s busy tour schedule supporting Foxes to talk about her new track and what’s on the way from Izzy Bizu.
